Thankful for Your Fighting Attitude

Thankful for your fighting attitude. I miss seeing it in you. I tell people about you and that attitude. I remember always saying "Don't make a scene!" I bet you knew that secretly I was so happy that you made a scene.

Thankful that the Pope is Visiting US #PopeFrancis

Thankful that the Pope is vising US.

He brings comfort to so many. It was amazing watching him and his motorcade streaming up 5th Ave. in the opposite direction. It reminded me of old pictures and videos of when the Beatles visited America for the first time. You liked him too. You were religious even though you did sometimes get angry at the church.

Thankful You Used to Give Me a Hard Time Sometimes

I am thankful that you used to give me a hard time, sometimes. Sounds crazy doesn't it. But I know it was because I meant the world to you, and still do. I also am grateful that you said, I miss giving you a hard time. And I used to give you a hard time, because you meant, and mean the world to me.

Thankful that You Passed on So Many of Your Qualities

Thankful today that you passed on so many of your qualities, and that Nana passed hers onto, Jude. I have 2 clones, because Nick has so much of Uncle's personality also.

It is one of the things I am most grateful for.

They are good cooks and they love Italian. I know the look you are giving right now and it makes me laugh!

Thankful that You Wanted to Hear What Was Going On

Today I am thankful that you always wanted to know what was going on, that you cared, that you had interest and gave great advice.

I would have called you and told you about the visit, and you would have helped me to counsel them. Even A. looked up above and said, what should I do, and then we all laughed.

It was so fun talking about things with you. I am so glad that we had that.

Thankful for the Christmas Cookies

I am so thankful that there were so many delicious Christmas cookies!

Cookies shaped like stars, Christmas trees, little buckets filled with chocolate mocha goodness, Viennese Crescents, balls of yummy powdery delicousness, and so many others.

I didn't much like the delivering of them - at first. After awhile it grew on me. I always wanted the other family members to deliver them, without me.

Now I am grateful that I got to deliver them, and eat them.

What a wonderful treat, to sneak off to the big cold room and grab a cookie, or two or three.

Thankful for the happy chatter

I remember hearing the happy chatter in the morning between you and Linda. I loved hearing that and seeing the happy eyes in the morning.

I loved hearing that. It was a great way to start the day. Then I would come upstairs and say good morning in my funny voice. Then we would have coffee and cake. I loved those happy mornings.
